BlindLog Terms of Use

Who we are. BlindLog is provided by 9547-8715 Québec inc. (InnovaLabWorks), Montréal, Canada ("we", "us").

Accepting these terms. By downloading or using BlindLog, you agree to these terms. Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA governs the app licence.

Free and Pro. BlindLog is free to download. For new installs, the free version lets you log your first 2 sits, with full sit logging, current-season stats, the journal and gear checklists. If you already used BlindLog with the same Apple Account before version 2.0, your free version keeps covering your first 10 sits. BlindLog Pro adds unlimited sits, past-season history and stats, the Season Recap PDF and the sit-log CSV export. The Pro screen describes what is included before you buy.

Purchase options. Pro is available as:

Lifetime: a one-time purchase. It does not renew and creates no recurring charge.
Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly: auto-renewable subscriptions.
Monthly offer: if you skip the Pro screen, we may show the same Pro Monthly subscription at a lower price for the first month. After that month, it renews at the regular monthly price shown, unless you cancel.

The price, currency and billing period are shown in the app and on Apple's purchase sheet before you confirm. Prices and taxes may vary by country or region.

How subscriptions work.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price then in effect. If the price changes, Apple notifies you as its rules require.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad). Cancelling stops the next renewal. Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
If we offer an introductory price, it applies only to the introductory period shown before you buy. After that, the subscription renews at the regular price shown, unless you cancel.
If you already pay for a subscription and then buy Lifetime, Apple does not cancel the subscription for you. Cancel it in your Apple Account settings to avoid further charges.
Subscriptions and Lifetime work on all your devices that use the same Apple Account.

When Pro ends. If a subscription ends or is refunded, Pro features lock again. The sits and other journal entries you already logged are not deleted.

Refunds. Apple processes every payment, so we cannot issue refunds ourselves. To request one, use Apple's process at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides refunds under its own terms and the law that applies to you.

Restoring purchases. On a new or reset device, sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchases on the Pro screen or in Settings. You need no BlindLog account.

Your journal, iCloud and privacy. Your journal is stored on your device and, if iCloud is on, in your own private iCloud so it syncs across your devices. We cannot see or recover it. Keep your iCloud and device backups on, and export what matters to you. Delete All My Data in Settings erases your journal everywhere it syncs and cannot be undone. A journal, not a safety or legal tool. BlindLog is a personal hunting journal. It is not a safety device, a navigation or weather service, or a guide to hunting regulations, and it does not track your location. Stats show patterns from your own entries, not predictions. Tag and harvest notes are your private records, not an official registration or report. You are responsible for following the laws and rules where you hunt, including seasons, licences, tags, harvest reporting, firearm and tree-stand safety, and access to land. Never rely on the app in an emergency.

Fair use. Use BlindLog lawfully and for your own personal use. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app. BlindLog, its name, its design and its content belong to us and are protected by law. Your journal entries belong to you.

Warranty. We work to keep BlindLog reliable, but software can contain errors, and iCloud sync can be delayed or fail. Beyond the guarantees the law gives you, BlindLog is provided "as is" and "as available", and we make no further promises about it.

Liability. If you are a consumer in Québec, the limits in this paragraph do not apply to you to the extent the Consumer Protection Act (Québec) or the Civil Code of Québec prohibits them. Where the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for claims related to BlindLog is limited to the amount you paid for BlindLog in the 12 months before the claim. These limits never apply to bodily or moral injury, to harm caused intentionally or through gross fault, or to any liability the law does not allow us to limit.

Your rights. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (Québec) or any other consumer protection law that applies to you.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. This does not take away your right to bring a claim in the courts where you live, if the law gives you that right.

Changes. We may update these terms, for example when features or purchase options change. If a change affects your rights or a purchase, we will show a notice in the app and on this page at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The notice will describe the change and give its effective date. If you do not agree, you can stop using BlindLog and cancel any subscription before that date. A change to these terms does not by itself cancel a Lifetime purchase or a period you have already paid for. The date at the top shows the current version.

Language. These terms are available in French and English. Les présentes conditions sont offertes en français et en anglais.
